Tonya & Matt's STORY

We met in Austin working out...

One fateful Saturday about 5 years ago at SSC (Saturday Sweat Club) an argument about the futility of eating chicken feet broke out between a meat eater and a chinese girl. A friendship started that no one would have imagined would turn into something more one day...

In August of 2015, Tonya took Matt out for his birthday on their first official date. He showed up in shorts and flip flops--August in Austin is HOT. She wore a beautiful dress, took him to SWAY for dinner, bought him a new shirt and even bought him a cake from Texas Bakery. He knew he better up his game fast. When Tonya was feeling ill, he brought her Gus's Fried Chicken as she thought Popeye's was quality...

In October, Matt surprised Tonya with their first adventure together on a secret trip to "Michigan". Matt was able to keep the secret for a month (with the help of some her friends packing/planning) driving Tonya nuts all the way until they got to the security line. That secret trip ended up being to Park City.  In July of 2016, they moved in together and soon after started their family when they adopted Willow.

Then, at the VERY romantic Game of Thrones Season Finale & BBQ party at the house in August 2017, Matt surprised Tonya once again in front of a big group of friends.
